Let's see. Eight random things about myself . . .

1. I spend altogether too much time fretting about whether I'm actually going to amount to anything as a novelist. Or anything else, for that matter.

2. I am more frightened of losing my ability to walk than of anything else in the world.

3. I love my computer more than is probably healthy.

4. I feel nauseated.

5. Sometimes I contemplate suicide. Not because I'm depressed, but because I'm impatient. I tire of speculating whether there is or isn't a god or many gods or an afterlife or whether we fade into nothing or are reincarnated. I want to know NOW.

6. I loathe driving, but I like riding in cars while listening to music with my friends.

7. Since Christmas I've purchased or been given 42 novels. Not including the one Hillary lent me to read.

8. I don't feel like tagging anyone. I'm going to bed, and I hope I feel better tomorrow.
